This botanical garden is known for its air plants, specifically its more than 6,000 orchids. See the 15 acres of beautiful gardens and bay views. You can also enjoy a bite to eat at the Selby House Café. It also has a Children’s Rainforest Garden.

Mote Marine is a nonprofit research institution and a local hero in Sarasota, loved by its community. At the Mote Marine Aquarium, you will find sharks, manatees, sea turtles, river otters, fish, and more. You can experience touch tanks and gain a wealth of knowledge about our oceans and animals.

The Ringling features a The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, The Circus Museum, The Historic Asolo Theatre, The beautiful Bayfront Gardens, and the Ca’D’Zan. Make a day of it as the Ringing has so much to offer! Between The Banyan Café, The Museum Café, or Muse at the Ringling, you can find the right snack or dining option. Or, even pack a lunch and sit along the bay or use the picnic facilities.

This is a popular hotspot for locals and tourists. St Armands Circle offers luxury shopping featuring local shops and some familiar names as well. It is best known for its dining options.

With 150+ animals, Big Cat Habitat is a nonprofit, large animal rescue. They work to rescue a variety of animals in need and provide them with permanent homes of love and safety. You’ll enjoy walking around at your own pace and seeing the animals in their exhibits. It is the closest you will ever get to a bear or tiger! There is a petting zoo, food options, and picnic tables to enjoy as well.

Considered one of Florida’s oldest and largest state parks, Myakka River State Park stretches across 58 square miles of wetlands, hammocks, pinelands, and prairies. The area also features a river and two lakes, making it a prime place to enjoy water activities like canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
